Evaluation of my swede

1: How did you choose what film to swede?

We wanted to do a horror swede and we have a forest right near us which we thought would be a good place to film it, we then looked at films which have bits filmed in a forest and then we saw the Blair witch project trailer, which all of it is mostly filmed in a forest so we decided to do it as it looks pretty simple and easy to do.

2: How did you identify and decide which parts of the film to recreate?

We just pretty much made a swede of the trailer as it had the good clips from the movie in it, also we could use similar background music and visual effects, with in our sweded movie.

3: Describe the filming process- was it straightforward? What was the challenge?

The filming process was pretty simple we had to film a small part in college on a blank was to make it as if she was in doors at home and then the rest of it was filmed in the forest, also it was simple as it was filmed hand held throughout the film so we could just carry the camera. we didn’t really need any props other than our bags. The challenge was trying to film whilst no cars sounds were in the background.

4: Describe the editing process- what it straightforward? What was a challenge?

The editing process was also pretty as we just had to put the clips on iMovie, cut some of the clips and put background music in some parts and fade every scene to black. A Bit that was challenging was because we filmed it all in the daytime, bits that were in the dark we had to filter and change the saturation and stuff to make it look dark.

5: What was the strengths and weakness of your finished swede?

The strengths of our swede are that our swede actually looks like the actual clip we recreated, as it was already a low budget film. Also we have added in sound effects and background music making it look more professional. A weakness is that it isn’t

6: How successful do you feel your swede is?

I Think our swede is successful, however I think it looks to professional to be a swede movie as it isn’t funny.

7: How would you improve?

8: Compare your swede to an existing example – Howe does yours compare?
